shards of reality! - Maintenance Mode Enabled

Hello! On behalf of the staff team and the members, I would like to personally welcome you to Shards of Reality!

We are a pre-apocalyptic, stray canine, vulpine and canine species roleplay site with a minimum of 200 words in all in character posts. Shards of Reality is a literate, intermediate to advanced site. However, members who are new to the roleplay world are welcome to join if they feel that their posts can reach the word minimum. The site is mostly realistic with the exception of the extreme pre-apocalyptic events and odd colored markings on characters. Also, the in character content may have extreme violence or excessive swearing, so if you wish not to view these kinds of posts, then look for the [MC] disclaimer in thread titles. This means that the content is rated above PG-13. However, for the most part, Shards of Reality is a PG-13 site, so do not be too worried about stumbling across something you prefer not to see because it will be marked.

It is winter in Ammon City and, mother nature has made it perfectly clear that is not going to be a whimsical one, in the least. The entire wild life preserve is covered by nothing but, a very thick blanket of snow. All the ponds, lakes and, even some small streams are layered with a sheet of ice, only the fast moving rivers, have escaped winters harsh grip. Most prey animals have moved on, making for meager hunting opportunities, however, on a light note many of the large predators have gone into hibernation, alleviating some tension. In the city, many streets, especially side streets and, alleyways have not been plowed or shoveled out. Those that have, are iced over making travel quite treacherous. Temperatures all around have plummeted, the highs only reaching 30 degrees and, lows diving down to the minuses. The bitter winds, severe hail storms and, full on white outs are making these temperatures seem much colder than they are so, finding shelter is about the only way, one can face mother natures wrath.

The City of Ammon has been set into disruption by some tremors which have caused some minor to major damages. Unstable buildings, trees, and telephone poles are being sent crashing over by the quakes. As if this was not terrifying or dangerous enough, some streets and, alleyways are cracking and then crumbling into themselves, creating huge sinkholes all over the city.

If you use the the Mayhem of the Month in one of your posts, five paws will be added to your account. Only redeemable once, and you must send it either to iCon or Vivid.

For most of you who got the PM I sent out, I decided to put SoR on a temporary hiatus, as I am not entirely sure what has kept iCon from us for so long. I am guessing it's school or real life in general. In any case, this is really for those who did not get the PM and/or for those who recently joined. All types of breeds and species are allowed, as the gang itself was just a spontaneous creation when Roxbury realized his dream of having a family, which is why a bond is quickly established between the members.
